The eligibility conditions remain unchanged:

 

  • The buyer must be a private individual.
  • The property must be used as a primary residence.
  • Occupancy must begin within 2 years of purchase and last for at least 3 years.

In 2025, Casatax offers:

 

  • A price cap of CHF 1,374,396.
  • A maximum reduction of CHF 20,616 on transfer duties.
  • A 50% reduction in mortgage note registration fees.

Total savings can reach nearly CHF 27,000.

 

For 2026, the exact figures have not yet been released. However, based on annual indexation tied to Geneva’s construction price index, we can anticipate:

 

  • A price cap approaching CHF 1.39 million.
  • A transfer duty reduction estimated at around CHF 21,000.
